3. VBA modules:

The Excel spreadsheet can contain VBA modules with the addition of macros in the file. This Visual Basic for Applications module can also be password protected. A password protection, follow these steps:

1. Select the VBA module and right click the mouse button.

2. Select the VBA Project Properties….

3. Click the Security tab.

In this window, select the Lock project for viewing option and assign the password for the password to display the Properties dialog box for the project.

4. Click OK.

VBA module is password protected and secure from unauthorized user.

4. Worksheet password:

You can have multiple worksheets in one file. As Xls Sheet 1, sheet 2 and so on. You can password protect too. To set the password of any spreadsheet underway to do the following:

1. Click the Tools menu

2. Select the Protecting; Protect Sheet option. Protect Sheet window.

3. Select the number of options for the worksheet. (These options depend on the version of MS Excel; I work in MS Excel 2003)

After selecting the options you can assign a password to the spreadsheet.

5. Book Password:

As Excel spreadsheets can also be protected in similar ways to protect the worksheets.

1. Click the Tools menu

2. Select the Protection >Protect Sheet option >Protect Sheet window.

3. Select the appropriate option or both structural and Windows and assign the password.

You can also try the following:

4. Click the Tools menu.

Select the Protection; Protect Sheet… and sharing. Protect the shared workspace window. This allows you to share the book with the track changes.

5. Check the possibility to share with the changes. This allows the text box.
6. Assigning a password in the text box.

These password protections protect Excel spreadsheets at the time of sharing and restrict other users from making changes to the document at the time of transferring file from one pc to another.
